Psst...We have a Secret
We have always wanted to do a piece of furniture using chalkboard paint. With our limited DIY budget we always try to think outside the box. Guess what? You don't have to use expensive chalk paint or go through the hassle of making your own with non sanded tile grout. Gasp! Yes, it is faux chalk paint!

We Have Been Waiting For You
Today we would like to send some love to our 100th follower NeeCee Daugherty of Pine Creek Style! NeeCee's blog is filled with wonderful tips and tricks from cooking, cleaning and decorating. We particularly like her "Common Courtesy" page. She reminds us of lessons we learned as children that are sometimes forgotten because we are so busy in our lives. We are guilty of sometimes forgetting to extend common courtesy! It definitely made us stop and think!

I found a gorgeous desk at a Thrift Store for $50.00. Sure it was more than I would normally pay but my “Super Saver Card” was filled so I received an extra $5.00 off. I think $45.00 was a great price for this desk.

Heads Are Gonna Roll
This weekend while working on posts for the blog I couldn't help but think am I in over my head? I said to myself, "Don't be a knuckle head silly, everything is just fine". I just need to get my head out of the clouds.
I came up with a "How To" post on using a doll head in an empty picture frame. Such a great idea! The doll head cost 50 cents and the picture frame was only $1.00. Perfect! I will give everyone a heads up to let them know how easy and inexpensive this project is.

Mr. Nope & The Evil Thrift Store Employees
We received a ton of e-mails asking us where we found the lamp that was featured in the “We Need To Talk” post.
We purchased the lamp from a new Thrift Store we had never been to. Every week they run an ad in the Sunday paper with two 50% coupons off your entire purchase. Sweet!
This store is very junky and when you walk in it has that musty Thrift Store smell which makes you immediately sneeze. Our kind of place! C'mon now, some people love the smell of old books or a library, we just so happen to love the smell of dingy old Thrift Stores. Ha Ha!
