Who is sweet as pie? Why of course our sweet little cousin Aydan Pie! For a little girl this sweet we created a desk fit for a princess. How could we resist? We revamped an old Vintage school desk for less than $20.00.
We purchased a Vintage School Desk for $10.00 from the Thrift Store.
It was spray painted "Watermelon" by Krylon.
Once the spray paint dried, the top of the desk was primed and then painted a light Blue/Grey with our secret "Faux" Chalk paint. If you missed the post "Psst..We Have A Secret" that explains our "Faux" Chalk paint click HERE.
For the ruffled skirt we repurposed three Vintage Scarves and three shirts. The scarves were purchased form the Thrift Store for 50 cents each and the shirts were found in our closet. We couldn't remember the last time they were worn if any so no love lost there. :-)The scarves and shirts were cut into strips. We cut scalloped edges along the scarf fabric to give it a more ruffled look. Once our strips were cut we hot glued the fabric in layers around the desk.

Super cute! I did a similar desk for my daughter, but I'm loving the watermelong spray paint on this desk! I recently discovered that watermelon color and just love the pretty pop of color it gives. Really works for this piece.
